Help Support Santas for Seniors 2022!
Each year, Meals On Wheels Ministry aims to bless every client we serve across six counties in East Texas with a Christmas gift. Some of our clients are surrounded by family and friends each Christmas season, but far too many experience the injustice of loneliness and may feel forgotten or overlooked through the holidays. We aim to bring them JOY and to remind them they are not forgotten by sharing a gift.
You can participate in Santas for Seniors in several ways!
1) Shop for a gift and drop it off at the drop-off location near you! Contact the Meals On Wheels East Texas site nearest you and ask the local site manager where the local drop-off box is at that time. You can find a list of sites and contact numbers below. Gifts given locally will be delivered to clients in YOUR community. For ideas on what to shop for, see the shopping ideas list below.
2) Make a donation and we will take care of the shopping for you! Your donation will help to fill in the gaps for any Meals On Wheels site in our service area needing a few extra gifts for the clients they serve.
3) Help pack gift bags! Contact your local site manager to ask how you can help put the donated items into a gift bag and make it pretty and festive with tissue paper. They will all need a few extra volunteers on gift packing day, which will vary from site to site but will likely be the last week of November or the first week of December.
